I love what you’re capturing in this article Ryan. I was actually minutes away from posting my first medium article about overcoming “imposter syndrome” when I came across this. I’m now feeling a little bit sheepish that one of my points was how reliably welcoming and friendly the developer community is.

In general I do find the developer community to be very welcoming. However, there seems to be a growing intolerance towards perceived intolerance. How ironic to have so many hurtful tweets preaching about not being divisive.

Your original article about 2018 js trends is a pillar in the midst of so much change and innovation in the javascript world. I appreciate your courage in directly addressing this issue. Cheers to a brighter, safer, and more respectful development future.
